- Avoid false professors like the plague
- We must persevere in an intentional, counter-cultural, biblical, powerful ministry
- Continue in the things you have learned (3:10-15)
- How was Timothy different than the others?
- Timothy persevered in the Teachings of Scripture.
- Timothy persevered in the traditions of his mentors.
- What has made all the difference in his life?
- He was taught the truth.
- He was convinced concerning the truthfulness of the truth.
- Challenges
- Don’t allow yourself to be paralyzed by the scandalous depravity of this culture. It may get worse.
- Don’t allow yourself to be persuaded that the message of the gospel has lost its power. It hasn’t.
